Boab Metals (Sorby Hills)

Boab Metals' Sorby Hills project near Kununurra.
Boab Metals is a Western Australian-based development and exploration company currently focused on developing the Sorby Hills silver-lead project in the northeast Kimberley.

Boab’s Sorby Hills project is located 50km from the regional centre of Kununurra. The project hosts extensive silver and lead resources, which are key metals for a low-carbon future. The project has the potential to provide significant job opportunities for the local community of Kununurra as well as the broader benefits for the East Kimberley region.

With environmental approvals already in place and close proximity to Kununurra, the project is well supported by established infrastructure, including port facilities, enabling a fast-tracked production timeline, with existing sealed roads providing a 150km transport route for concentrate from site to Wyndham Port.

With a Final Investment Decision reached in late 2025, Sorby Hills is now fully funded and advancing to the construction phase.
