Industry Facilitation and Support Program The Department of Commerce is calling for companies and small businesses seeking financial assistance up to $25,000 to supply the resources sector in Western Australia. For this round of funding under the IFSP you will only be eligible for 50% of eligible expenditure up to $25,000 per successful applicant over one year. Furthermore, to be eligible for consideration you must be a supplier of products or services to major resource projects in Western Australia. The level of funding will be dependent on the level of matched funding available from the applicant. 

Activities which will be eligible for funding in this specific round are:

• Marketing/promotional activities targeted at helping local businesses become part ofthe supply chains of multinational Engineering, Procurement Construction (EPCs)and Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCMs) companies.
• Temporary expert assistance to assist local businesses to meet the pre-qualificationrequirements of major projects/contractors. This may include, but is not limited to,pre-qualification audit fees and consultant’s fees to assist with the implementation ofrecommendations from pre-qualification audits.
• Improvements to Internal business Infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited toupgrading existing or acquiring new equipment; improvements to OccupationalSafety & Health systems; Quality Assurance systems; and manufacturing systems.
• Training which leads to ongoing ability of applicants to develop improved operationalprocesses, including adopting a more strategic approach to the preparation oftenders for work on resource projects.

To be eligible your business must have a turn over of voer $1 million and provide goods and services to one of the following industries: mining, resource processing, gas supply, water supply, power supply or construction of mining infrastructure.
